Final Presentation of first semester.

Main Concept. : Distortion of human body.

Since 2007, I was working on making abstract image by distorting human body images(Such as human faces & eyes). For me these kind of image was like a creating new never seen creature. 

 Human face & eyes has high density detailed textures and flexible , well organized systematic movement which are fine finished source to use as a element for my abstract work.

New project.

From Prof. David Hall's advise, I think this could be good chance to have experience using pre-rendered source to interactive work. 


My main theme is to make organic abstract shape from distorting the realtime human face. And make it interactive. 


There are 4 goals for these project.


1. Find my new theme. It could be using same source as this or Take new shots.


2. Develop the shape to more organic, more abstract.


3. Sounds should be totally be changed to abstract like strange creature crying. 


4. Make interaction intuitively.

Failed.

I tried it to organize my circuit, but, failed. 
The reason was I lost a part, 100k resistance, ohm. 
So If I could get the a part, I will finish it, If I don't , I'm not gonna pay one more. 
Any way, It was good practice to doing something micro with my shaking hand.
It made me to concentrate to something.
And It was good time, that gave me a time to Organize my theme for studio project.

Sound Process.

This sound is from my friends laugh which I asked to act. The reason that I liked this sound was, It could be a part of instrument which make more certain emotion. I liked it, because it gives something like having shower in cold water. Or walking in forest at 1~2 am. 

But only single sound effect, was not enough to make a single mood.

I made little studio with Ha~yeon in small Lab to film are stuffs. This is for to film my face .

The Goal or Beauty of this time displacement is to make normal face movement to stange solid shape from the motions. I thinking how to make this more high definite textured fluid distortive motion.

 I overlapped the images with dark part of the image. I figured it out that the beauty of these motion panoramic images are making wavy curve. From this I have to consider about curve and make my own curve concepts.
